283-285 McLeod Public Consultation

Zoning By-law Amendment and Official Plan Amendment applications have been submitted to the City for 283-285 McLeod, which are currently occupied by a 3-storey detached brick building on each lot. The proposed development features an 8-storey residential building with a 3-storey podium consisting of a new section on the eastern portion of the site and the existing building at 285 McLeod, reorienting its entrance to the McLeod façade.

The properties are currently zoned R4 and designated as low-rise through Schedule H2 of the Centretown Secondary Plan, restricting heights to a maximum of 4-storeys. The Zoning By-law and Official Plan Amendments are required to address the requested increase in height and relief from certain setbacks. This site is located within the Centretown Heritage Conservation District and will also require a heritage permit.
