Gladstone Station Secondary Plan

After several years of being on-hold, the Gladstone Station District Secondary Plan study is being re-initiated! The Gladstone Station District is bounded by Somerset Street West to north, Highway 417 to the south, Breezehill Avenue to the west, and Preston Street and Booth Street (south of Balsam Street) to the east.

The purpose of the Study is to guide private development and public works projects over the next 20 years. A vision and design concept will be created through public consultation with residents and stakeholders.

The Gladstone Station District is a unique area within Ottawa and is changing quickly. This district will begin to develop more rapidly due to excellent transit connectivity, well-established mixed-use neighbourhoods, and large parcels of underused land. The Secondary Plan will eventually become part of the Official Plan as Council's policy to guide development within the Gladstone Station District over the next 20 years.
